Dr. Weed is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist with close to 20 years of experience in these fields. As a dermatologist, Dr. Weed sees patients in the clinic, specializing in skin cancer screening and detection. As Boswell Dermatology’s on-site dermatopathologist, he also works at the microscope to diagnose cancers, rashes, and benign lesions for all patients seen in the practice. Having Dr. Weed “in-house” at Boswell Dermatology provides our patients with quick answers and specialized expertise from a physician trained as both a dermatologist and a dermatopathologist.
Dr. Weed is a Fallon, NV native and is fluent in French. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University, he attended the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine before completing his dermatology residency and dermatopathology fellowship at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
After practicing in Wisconsin for the last 17 years, which included academic appointments as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Weed and his family decided to move back West to join Boswell Dermatology! When not in the clinic or at the microscope in his office, Dr. Weed can be found in the great outdoors or spending time with his wife and 6 children (and growing number of grandchildren!).
